The Friends now have a Perpetual booksale going. This is run on the honor system with the same great prices as our two yearly book sales and is restocked as needed. Look for it in the downstairs lobby of the library.

The library is now providing a Fax machine for public use. It's $1.00 for the first page and 50 cents for each additional page. The number is 812-254-4585.

The Friends of the Library are now selling postcards and note cards featuring the two paintings done by Brad Rock. The paintings, which honor the library's centennial celebration, are now displayed on the landing of the library's staircase. Note cards and postcards are now available from any Friends member or businesses in the downtown area.

Our microfilm conversion project is coming close to finality. There are new methods on the market and one was demonstrated to the Friends. This product will do everything the library needs but may not be available until some time after the first of the year. Check back for more details as they become available.

Friends of the Library and the Historical Society of Daviess County have jointly provided funds to the library for the purchase of a subscription to Ancestry.com. We hope you will be able to take advantage of this website in your geneology quests.
